OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVING REFRESHERS (REACTIVATE)

If you haven’t been in the water recently and are going away or just want to get back into diving, then we have a few refresher options to make it easy to get back in the water.
Dive shops appreciate seeing a recent ReActivate date on your certification card because it means you’re ready to dive in. Safe diving practices are key to this lifelong hobby and it always more prudent to go over the basics again if it has been a while, or if you are diving in conditions that vary from your norm.

THE FUN PART

Haven’t been in the water in a while? Come out and have some fun while going over the basics skills you did in the Open Water Certification course. Everyone’s situation is different as to why they require this course, therefore we have some options for you based on your needs.

RE-ACTIVATE REFRESHER

With ReActivate, not only do you get to refresh your skills with an online review and a pool session, but you will also receive a new, ReActivated certification card. This option is ideal if you have misplaced your card or want a second PADI card.

The ReActivate Program contains the following 2 components:
1. Knowledge Development – This refreshes your familiarity with basic principles and procedures using realistic dive scenarios. The online e-learning will move on when you understand and are comfortable and confident with the course material. This theory portion must be completed before the pool session.

2. Confined Water Practice – You will brush up on those basic scuba skills in the pool, refresh how to set up your gear and practice some emergency skills. If you are feeling a little rusty and want to gain some confidence before you take that giant stride on your next dive, this is the perfect way to get you there. There are some required skills to practice, but also lots of time for you to practice things you’d like to do. Just let your PADI Pro know in the pool what your goals are.

EQUIPMENT

You’ll use basic scuba gear including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, BCD and a scuba tank. The program is completed in the pool, so exposure protection is not required. If you wish to wear a wetsuit to dial in your weighting, please just talk to the staff once you are registered and we can help accommodate that.

LEARNING MATERIALS

All required learning materials are available online for the pre-pool session.

Cost: $65 Online ReActivate Module (included with PADI CLUB Membership) + In-water Component $100 (using your own gear) *OR* $145 (with Rental BCD/Reg). Use of tank and weights is included with the program.

PREREQUISITES

To enroll in the PADI Re-activate, you must be 10 years or older with a previous PADI Open Water Diver Certification or higher. A simple Medical form must also be completed to ensure your safety while diving. Some simple paperwork will be required, and you’ll need to ensure you own appropriate fins, mask and snorkel.

YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE

Now that you are back in the water, why not try out a few other adventure dives such as Night Diving or Drift Diving or Deep Diving. These are all dives that accumulate toward your Advanced Open Water Certification. Keep the momentum going and see what wonders await you under the surface.

This is a first rate place to learn how to dive. Brad's team is well organized, experienced, enthusiastic...and nice people! They don't cut corners on the training but help you through it. And they make it fun. My final checkout dive was delayed by a family matter so a few weeks later Brad the owner took me though it one-on-one. You can't get more dedicated than that. After certifying I did my first mid-week dive at Gulliver's Lake and what a great way to gain experience when you start out. I'm looking forward to many years at Float N Flag and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn recreational diving.
